We are working on the fifth grade level of the Chai curriculum.
In December, we discussed prophets, including Elijah, Jonah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and others.

In religious school today we continued our studies of the prophets, we started out the class talking about Elijah.  We ended up the class discussing if there were any modern day prophets.  You might want to ask your child what their thoughts are on modern day prophets.

We also had some interesting discussions on people knew they were prophets and then it migrated to belief in G-d and how do we know G-d is real, and are the stories in the Torah true or not.

I think we had a very good class today.  The kids were engaged and seemed to be interested in the class.

Next week is the Maccabiah games.  We will be spending the entire class period participating and enjoying the games.  You are more than welcome to come to the games and help cheer on the various teams.
