Our Temple Youth Groups

 The Temple Youth Group (FOrTY) brings together a dedicated and enthusiastic group of Jewish high school students in Fort Wayne for regular events during the school year. Affiliated with Reform Movement through the National Federation of Temple Youth (www.nfty.org), the Temple’s youth group provides opportunities for educational, social and social action programs. FOrTY is open to all Jewish teens in Fort Wayne regardless of affiliation.

Activities often include an annual car wash fundraiser, distributing apples and honey on Rosh Hashanah morning and hosting the community-wide Purim carnival. The teens lead at least one Shabbat service at the Temple annually, as well as particpate in our camp-style Sabbath service. FOrTY regularly participates in regional NFTY programs.

Junior Youth Group
In October 2011, we launched our new Junior Youth Group open to Jewish students in the Fort Wayne area who are in grades 6, 7, and 8. The kids selected the name "39" because "FOrTY minus one = 39" and they aren't quite old enough to be in FOrTY, the high school group.
