Our Temple Book Club for 2017-2018 begins on Tuesday, November 14 at 7 p.m. when we talk with author Steve Roberts via videoconference about his book, From Every End of This Earth: 13 Families and the New Lives They Made in America. The book’s focus on immigration should provide a particularly timely discussion. Please join us in the Madge Rothschild Resource Center.
Roberts is perhaps best known as a journalist, appearing on NPR and other networks, as well as in print. He also serves on the faculty at George Washington University. A bestselling author, Roberts’ books include My Fathers’ Houses and From This Day Forward, co-written with his wife, Cokie Roberts. The couple also co-authored Our Haggadah: Uniting Traditions for Interfaith Families.
Space is limited, so reserve your spot today by contacting the Temple office. Those who RSVP by Friday, November 10 will be entered in a drawing for a hardcover copy of our next Temple Book Club title by Abigail Pogrebin. There is no cost to attend, but by making a reservation, you will be agreeing to read the book and come prepared to join the conversation. There is one copy of the book available in the Temple library. Thank you to the Adult Education Committee for sponsoring.
